Birdie Presents: Pablo Bernasconi

Posted by Gis in Birdie Presents the Artists - Saturday, November 29th, 2008

EN - It’s my favorite time again! And this time the illustrator I decided to showcase for you is another awesome argentinian artist that you maybe know!!!

Pablo Bernasconi has to be one of the most creative illustrators I have ever seen. His technique is so funky and unique that you can see his works published all around the globe!! He’s for sure a master of the digital collage, and what amazes me really the most, is not just the end result of his illustrations, but the eye he has to bring to life unique characters and sceneries from other dead materials like wood, metal and stone!! I can swear that I could see the original stock he creates his illustrations from and I would not be able to imagine what could be born from it, like he does!!! A true illustration genius!!!

As always, images can say way more than words in this case, so I invite you to look at my little selection (click on the pictures to go to the original post with full size), and also to his website and blog (more links at the end of the post).

an illustration from his last book “Retratos”

A friend of mine who lived in Argentina introduced me to the works of Pablo Bernasconi. And have since then been a big admirer.

    A great artist, indeed.
